JASMINE CHO
Jasmine M. Cho is a Pittsburgh-based artist, author, and cookie activist most known for using portrait cookies to elevate representation for Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders. Her work has been featured internationally on various media outlets that include NPR, HuffPost, CBS This Morning, and The Korea Daily. A TEDx speaker and Food Network Champion, Jasmine hopes to use her platform to expand the frontiers of research-based bake therapy and make the kitchen a more accessible and empowering space for creativity and healing.
Jasmine M. Cho (she/her) identifies as second-gen Korean American and owns an online bakery called Yummyholic. Initially using cookie art to explore Asian American & Pacific Islander issues and matters of representation, she expanded to traditional fine art media while pursuing her B.A. in Art Therapy at Carlow University. She is currently pursuing her M.P.S. in Art Therapy and Creativity Development at Pratt Institute while continuing to explore the medium of sugar as a vehicle for access to education and healing.
